Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi Fred, unfortunately Kay no longer even recognises birthdays or Christmas. My son did a video WhatsApp call from Saudi to wish his mum Happy Birthday but it went completely over her head, she looked at him on screen for just a couple of seconds then turned and walked away. I was in tears observing this. It doesn’t affect Kay in the slightest but the emotional trauma for my sons and daughter is heartbreaking. Anyway today is another day, she is healthy and I’m just about to put her in the car and take her for a drive around our countryside. Catch you all later…
Yeah we went through those stages with Cal's mum. It is heartbreaking mate. I don't think there are any other words that accurately describe it. 💙

You must talk with them to let them understand that it is no fault of anyone it is just life's cruel ways . My SIL phoned at 5.30 A.M. to tell us a bomb had just gone off by her house and we should not come to visit ,she phoned everyone in her phone to warn them .Not as severe as Kay but once again cruel . Stay strong that man .

Thanks Blue. The kids and even my granddaughter do understand what is going on, but because they don’t see it every day (only one of my sons and myself do) it’s tough for them tbh…..

Hi folks, @peteblue that is so sad and it must be so difficult for you all. We experienced similar with my father in law. It is heart- breaking. I'm glad you had a nice drive out today.
I've been babyminding today - he was a little angel. Just so good, apart from one time when I wasn't quick enough making his bottle! We watched Now80s and he got to hear all about David Bowie. He was fully engrossed in some of the videos- I think all the bright colours and weird effects held his attention. 🤣
Pleased you got a good result @Armaghtoffee . Onwards and upwards.
Enjoy your evening everyone x

Our son was a difficult baby. One thing that used to pacify him was snooker, we used to sit his baby chair in front of the TV and enjoy a respite from his almost constant crying. Unfortunately this was in the days before we had video recorder so peace only reigned as long as the programme was on. 😂

Yep snooker was always popular with the little ones and not a lot of people know that "Pot black" was actually the pilot show for the teletubbies.....think Ray Reardon and Bill Werbenuik.

Lost its popularity with the under 3s when Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor came on the scene . Alex Higgins giving a new meaning to "pot black" was the nail in the coffin.

However pleased to report that the teletubbies revival is on the horizon with the resurgence of interest in darts.

Anyway heavy rain has given way to bright sunshine so good morning everyone.

Very , very early start for me today. We are looking after SiLs dog Susie whilst she is on the rocky mountaineer in Canada ( at least that what I think she said she was on - might be wrong 😂).

Not a problem she's a lovely dog but unfortunately Rosie doesn't like her . And Mrs J is in the Rescue shop all day. So the only chance I got to go to the gym was 6am when everyone was sleeping. It was remarkably busy.

Anyway back by 7.30 and waiting for Granny's carer to go and then Susie can spend the day with Granny - they love each other and she is no trouble ( Susie not Granny!)

That will enable me and the other 2 dogs - I hope you are keeping up - to get out in the garden and do something useful

Anyway whatever you've got planned, have a lovely day everyone.

Which one was Tinky Winky? 😂

Evening all, back to normality after my weekend of birthday celebrations. Spent the day doing housework to make sure everywhere important is clean for when G returns from his knee op on Thursday. So far it’s looking like they might do it as a day case but we’ll have to see. Feeling nervous as he doesn’t do straightforward but 🤞🤞.
Reading @anjelikaferrett post made me smile. For some reason our granddaughter gets all excited when Pink Pony Club comes on the radio, so we sing it to her as it’s such a cute thing to see. I didn’t realise it’s about an exotic dancer so not sure it’s entirely appropriate for a nine month old but it’s hilarious to see 31 and 67 year old men dancing round and singing it to her.
Have a great evening everyone 💙

Hello everybody. I went to yoga today - with my new yoga mat. Restorative Yoga was nothing of the sort, I have never been a) so stressed b) so uncoordinated in all my life. Add to that the discovery that my inner spirit animal is a baby elephant- you get the picture. I was gobsmacked to find that in addition to a yoga mat, you also made use of blocks, bolsters, belts and even a chair. However, in spite of being totally unrelaxed, I'm going to give it another go and hope that I get better at it. 🤣
To balance the Yin and Yang, tomorrow I'm meeting a friend from work for a pie, chips and mushy peas lunch.
Enjoy the rest of your night.

Yoga isn't a competition Ang.

Just try to relax and enjoy it.

Everyone starts somewhere and no one has a scooby what to do at the start.
