Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

She is fantastic. Radio 1 really behind her now which is a big help.
Not sure if you're a fan of Pulp mate but they're on Jools Holland tonight. They have a new album out soon and the 2 songs they've dropped already are really good.

Looks like a great show. The Hives are also on and my second favourite current group Wunderhorse. Also someone called Suzanne Vega who must be some new artist.

Now that’s a midfield line up.

Thanks will record that

Ms Vega's new record ( yes I bought an album released in 2025) is excellent. Flying with Angels is the most diverse Vega album. There is a homage to Dylan in the Chambermaid which she sings tonight, Rats a track that would sound out of place on a Stranglers album , Love Thief that sounds like a Prefab Sprout 90s track and the moving Last train from Mariupol which could only have come from the pen of Suzanne. And yes I have my ticket to see her at the Phil in October.

Mrs J allowing you to go to 2 gigs in the same month?😀

How do you know what songs she is playing. I'd love to find out what Wunderhorse have in store. I'm guessing Midas and hopefully July if they get 2 songs. It's such a strong line-up tonight it's hard to predict which acts will double up. Pulp for sure will.

Yep and she loves SV so she's coming to that one.

Think Chambermaid is her only song tonight as per her FB page

Morning all, bright sunny start to the day, Blackbird perched on next door’s telly aerial was singing his heart out at 3.45, one compensation for being a bad sleeper. Our last full week of breakfast and school run as grandkid no.1 has his last exam next week. I have mixed feelings, will be good not to have to get up at 6.30 but sad another chapter has closed.
@Armaghtoffee another great result, love the pics.
I’m off to get ready for a day of dog sitting, have a good day, all.💙

Just a flying visit to wish a happy birthday to Val and Kay. Hope hubby had something nice planned for you Val. And I hope K has some recognition of the day Pete. Days like today are even harder than normal mate and I hope you are able to enjoy it. 💙💙

Hi Fred, unfortunately Kay no longer even recognises birthdays or Christmas. My son did a video WhatsApp call from Saudi to wish his mum Happy Birthday but it went completely over her head, she looked at him on screen for just a couple of seconds then turned and walked away. I was in tears observing this. It doesn’t affect Kay in the slightest but the emotional trauma for my sons and daughter is heartbreaking. Anyway today is another day, she is healthy and I’m just about to put her in the car and take her for a drive around our countryside. Catch you all later…

Oh Pete I have no words other than my heart goes out to you and family. I hope you enjoy your drive round the countryside.
