English top tier football is almost entirely tainted. TFG are no saints either, I don't enjoy being in bed with an American multi club owner either.

I try to ignore the money noise around it and just watch the footy.
The whole thing is rotten, has been for years, but it is what it is and little things like the 5th goal, and the look on that kids face as he wheeled away, are what keep us hooked and loving it.

Otherwise, if you're going to take a moral stance and give up watching all professional sports that have been tainted by money and greed, then the only sports that you'll end up spectating are ones like lawn bowls, or synchronised swimming.

The solution is to find the most obscure league you can, where money can't possibly be the motivation, and invest yourself. I've heard the Montenegrin First League is making strides.
