2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

His miss vs Newcastle will be my lasting memory of him, and broadly will be an accurate representation of his time with us whilst not on the treatment table.

That and his diving header that saved us from the drop, obvs

People love big Dunc who struggled with fitness a lot of the time. One of my personal favorite players is Daniel amokachi, hardly prolific. Dom is an honest kid who tried his best everytime he pulled on an Everton shirt, put his body on the line for the team. I'll be happy if he chooses to stay.
Guilty as charged. Love Dunc the talisman.

One of the below is considered a cult hero/legend by large portions of the fanbase (myself included).

The other is getting chased out the club.

Go figure.

Hoping he would come good but that’s not going to happen is it. Time to move on.
Undoubtedly has talent but his body has let him down. Probably best for all parties if he moves on. He could do well being a squad player for a good team. Just don’t think you can rely on him to lead the line for a season any more.

Dom had his ridiculous red card rescinded, he’s never been red carded in his career. I think you need to write a stern email to those statistic loving dangers and tell them they’ve got a number wrong…

Sums it up really
One grabbed a RS by the throat though
Dom just dominated the best CB in the wuuuurrrrld
If only he knew

Reckon he does well under Moyes if he stays fit, away from Dycheball and without all the pressure on him now that Beto has stepped up

I’d happily keep him as a squad player if he agreed to that. Moyes has a knack of getting a lot out of players. And if we bring in some quick players who will cut it back to the 6 yard box (where he excelled under Carlo and we haven’t played in that style since) it gives us a different way of playing instead of looking to feed balls through to Beto to run onto so we can mix it up.

Saying that, a priority is a first choice striker, meaning he would ultimately have to settle as 3rd choice which I can’t see happening.

He doesn't need to, we have Beto aswell
True. I mean ultimately there are a few moving parts. Does the player want to stay? Does Moyes see him in his plans? How much does he want in terms of a contract and does the club see a more cost effective solution elsewhere. Big decision being made one imagines. Ultimately my view doesn’t matter

this is purely guesswork but as nothing has been said about him leaving, does that suggest that they are still talking about a new contract/terms?

I'd keep him, get one or two more options in too if possible

I’d guess they’re discussing something if they haven’t announced he’s leaving yet but who knows? There was supposedly an offer left on the table so maybe he’s yet to officially decline that?

That’s the thing I guess. With so many positions to sort, if he stays then can we bring another body in up front or is it him and Beto? I mean it’s not a bad pair to choose from if both are fit and playing well.

Off to Rangers thankfully.
New ambitious American owners who can spend as much as they want.
Doesn’t even matter who they get in as manager, DCL is fine with Ancelotti, or their second choice Big Dunc.

Guaranteed European football and even Dominic can score up there
