Thats the challenge though aint it, got to fancy yourself.

I think us would have been the easier option for him really, the lad fancies himself.

ANd lets not forget this is a lad educated and played wit Cole Palmer....top top City academy, so he will already beleive he has that level of ability.

We should be all over the city and Chelsea u21 players. They won’t break into the 1st team and will want top level football

I genuinely wonder what Dewsbury-Hall makes of his own move to Chelsea. On a wedge, played regularly in Europe and won a trophy but doesn’t get many minutes at all in the league. Will he be happy with his move and being part of it, or disappointed with the move as he doesn’t play much?
He'll need someone in his position to join their long term crock "bomb" squad to get
a proper chance, otherwise he'll be loaned out eventually for PSR reasons.

According to many he will be over the moon with his move. This is all players want apparently

And fair enough… if I got paid stupid amounts of money to not really do anything and then call myself a winner then great stuff.

I wonder if playing regularly is all its. cracked up to be.

Say I’m KDH getting mega wedge at Chelsea playing what once a forthright, playing in Europe and winning trophies - sounds sweeter then dogging it out on Weds to Sat in the Championship or in a relegation battle at the bottom of the table.

I often wonder would I be thinking to myself, this gig and Chelsea playing once a fortnight or so is far kinder to my body then elsewhere and if I stay for a while I’ll be able to prolong my career, maintain a high profile, earn and finish my career later after keeping the miles down, earning more.

That's not how someone who has given up huge amounts of time to make in sport will be thinking

If he's going to fail anywhere then surely he'd be better failing somewhere where he can still have a chance of success. First time he goes 5 or 6 games without a goal at Chelsea, he's getting dropped and replaced. At least at Everton, he'd have a chance of turning his form around. At his age, its all about playing time, and having been at city, you'd have thought that might have been an important part of his decision. Fair play to him if he's backed himself but its a gamble.

He also worked under the Chelsea Manager at City so that relationship will have played a part.

I've never watched him but his record in the Championship wasn't great.

He is the type of player we should be signing.

It depends on what they want to get out of the sport/career mate, earn as much as possible, play in Europe, get a medal, play week in week out.

KDH is getting three out of those 4 at the moment and in 4 years time - could move somewhere here play week in and week out and have less miles on the clock, then prob anyone else in the squad. (Unless Nathan Patterson is still here).

The vast vast majority sign for clubs they believe they are good enought to be first choice for

I personally think we need to be a bit smarter than dropping £30m on 1 player with our current requirement for players anyway. Maybe next season after a season in the 'grand new lady' 😁 we'll be better positioned.

We're not exactly getting any money coming in for players leaving the club this summer, so I think we still need to be a bit more balanced in our deals. It's not going to be easy to bring in big names/high potential this year.

There's just no shame atm in players choosing the likes of Chelsea or Newcastle ahead of us.

We've got such a long long way to go to get back to where we need to be.

If the reported wage of 200k is true btw, I'd have been absolutely livid if that's the kind of figure we were looking to offer. It's that kind of stupidity that got us to where we are now.

I don't want us to be competing wage wise with teams offering CL football because that'll mean we haven't got a grip of our spending.

If the wages is true...just confirms what I think
