In that sense I suppose there isn’t a lot of space between ourselves and Ipswich, certainly to a player who wants to compete for trophies and regularly play in European competitions.

Thats the harsh reality of the situation we are in.

Or a fat wage packet in the big smoke. Football comes secondary as it eases the burden when your not playing much or fulfilling potential.

I'm not crying about him either (don't rate him too highly). But I can't wrap my head around looking at that souless Chelsea squad, it's size, player turnover (which they need to do) and think "this is the home for me".

It's also not about Everton either. If the rumours Newcastle and Man United were sniffing, I'd say they would've been better shouts as they need players like him. Chelsea don't. They just want them as they fit a metric.
