Transfer Rumour Jack Grealish

Find it hard to see how he could motivate himself sufficiently to do well enough here and want to do well.

He is wealthy, has won everything, I just don't think you get the hunger needed and that you get from someone looking to move upwards and make their name.

It would be a very expensive loan by definition, and with any other baggage not worth it for us.

World Cup, perhaps? But yeah, in general I agree with the premise of your post.

would smack of 19/20 this when we had no option at Rw other than Walcott who wasnt good enough, or playing Richy out of position when he had had a really effective season on the left or upfront.

We spent the summer pursuing Zaha and then Iwobi when we had two perfectly good options in Richy and Bernard

weve still not signed a right winger with the exception of Andros Townsend

as much as i think Grealish improves us, the wages, the age and probably the attitude makes this a no

and in terms of personnel we really need to be looking to strengthen that right hand side first

NDiaye and Alcaraz are on the up, Grealish on the wane. Id rather prioritise those two

Two things.

It won't be more than a years loan and it's a year where he needs to get his finger out if he wants to go to the World Cup.

His wages, at least in part, will have to be covered by City otherwise they are stuck with him which Pep doesn't want as only last week he said he wants to get rid of about six first team squad players as it's too big for him to manage how he wants to.

He's clearly very talented. You'd expect villa to be a logical place to return to, although city wouldn't loan to a direct rival.

Is his work rate off the ball good enough for Moyes?

Worth a punt as others have said as the world cup is coming up and he'll want to revive his England career

If anyone can get something out of him now I think it would be Moyes. No messing about Jack, you come here, you work hard, you will play every week. Or you can sit on the bench at City where you are clearly not wanted. Oh bring you mate Mcatee aswell.

Don’t see how he even considers us, he will have better offers.

If he signs he will be player of the season next year. A nice pre-season for Moyes to coach Pep out of him and back to the exciting player he was.

More I think about this the more I think the Freidkins might fancy it.
They paid a small fortune for Lukaku as a marquee loan signing when they landed at Roma and I just wonder if they are thinking along the same lines if City would sanction a loan

Thought he was a live wire when he played for Villa. Went to City and it just didn't work. Think he's the type of player where its "big fish in a little pond" and he thrives. Couldn't cope being a "big fish with plenty of other big fish."
