Transfer Rumour Jack Grealish

He's on $300K / week at City. You taking a 60% pay cut at your job, mate?
He wouldn’t necessarily have to.
He’s owed the balance of his contract value regardless if City want to sell him, so if a club will only pay him ⅓ of that, City are going to have to offer him a settlement of his remaining contract to get him off the books.

He might forego what he’s owed to get on the pitch at another club, but I very much doubt it, least not all of it.

It’s why there’s often a big deal made of transfer requests as they negate much of a contract T&Cs, pay & loyalty bonuses etc.

It would make sense if we could get him on reasonable money, maybe a loan deal. If he really wants to be a starter every week, and reignite his career as he turns 30, it could be a very good move for both the player and us.

Cos Pep micromanaged his game out of him.

And probably asked if he could play right back

Micromanaging came from his Barca days.

Their teams play where players, apart from a couple of them, are set up to play in set areas of the pitch and very rarely wander into someone else's patch.

Grealish at Man City is a left winger only, Gealish at AV was allowed to roam which helped him to score more goals for them than City.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no

There's no limits.

(Apart from his wages)

would smack of 19/20 this when we had no option at Rw other than Walcott who wasnt good enough, or playing Richy out of position when he had had a really effective season on the left or upfront.

We spent the summer pursuing Zaha and then Iwobi when we had two perfectly good options in Richy and Bernard

weve still not signed a right winger with the exception of Andros Townsend

as much as i think Grealish improves us, the wages, the age and probably the attitude makes this a no

and in terms of personnel we really need to be looking to strengthen that right hand side first

NDiaye and Alcaraz are on the up, Grealish on the wane. Id rather prioritise those two
