Bought a Jamaican ginger cake last week, not had one in years, bloody lovely.

On the strength of that bought some ginger nut biscuits yesterday and polished off half a packet.

Love Ginger cake...boss with a cup of tea.

Really nice, light and summery! Courgette salad was nice and the poaching broth with the potatoes was excellent. Well worth the 30 minutes cooking.

Made the bourbon biscuits. Had a bit of trouble with the dried egg. Just waiting for them to cool down before I make the filling.

When I was very young, I used to make a pint of custard at night, surprisingly I wasn’t a big fat biff.

Manchester tart.
Egg custards.
Custard doughnuts.

Basically any pudding with custard.

The guy who invented custard was easily one of the greatest inventors of all time.
