Because foreign players are more likely to take time to find their feet? As evidenced by Mateta scoring 6 goals in his first 2 seasons. Some of them never do find their feet but go back to the continent and become good again. It's a combination of those two things and HG rules (possibly a thing of the past) that drives, or has driven the English premium.

I just love an exotic name,Delap just doesn't do it for me I know what you mean though,the change of culture just doesn't work for some players.

I think it's important to note here that it's not just English clubs we'll be competing with for a CF this summer. For example, I'm aware Juventus are actively searching. There are more teams abroad, too. The congestion plays a large part in how long it takes to find a suitable fit.
