He's struggling with the positivity that's surrounding the club at the minute.

It's to point out what sentimental fools Evertonians are that they can allow this feller over 30 years of being a con man and still revere him like he's offered this club any service whatsoever.

He barely played for this club because of his ill discipline and the fact he couldn't stay fit enough because of his bevvying; then after he retires he's handed a coaching role from nowhere because he's run out of cash with a business deal going west; then he's kept on by manager after manager hanging on like a limpet when all other coaches are losing their jobs; then incredibly he's offered a chance to manage this club before underlining how untalented he is in that respect...in fact there were loads DEMANDING he be given the manager's job here.

Now he's made use of Everton's shift from Goodison to piggyback it to promote his book and get a few more quid off the club and its fans...and no doubt Moyes - with all his crony appointments - will hand him another post at the club.

Last Sunday we had REAL Everton heroes coming back to this club, and Ferguson was allowed to tower over the event to promote himself.

Bollocks to him. He's a leech. Anyone with any sense knows he is.

You know what Dave, I'm starting to think that you may not like Duncan Ferguson.

Got the audio book- very good. I feel like if ive heard most of it on the overlap but still very entertaining..

He seems like a genuine lad who let's the red mist cloud his judgement..

His agent Dennis sounded like a proper swindler.

Decent read overall, and the “Baldy, baldy” revelation in Chapter 6 is particularly enlightening. It’s now clear that being the butt of cruel jibes about his lack of pubic hair was a direct contributing factor in his directing the butt at McStay - ‘buttception’ if you will.

Anyway, if you don’t have a place in your heart for Dunc, you’re massively missing the point of being a football fan and an Evertonian IMO. I’ve been lucky to watch more storied heroes than Dunc, but he was part of our last trophy winning side. That’s enough to guarantee legend status at most clubs. Not sure why it doesn’t apply here? Everton that.
