6 + 2 Point Deductions

Leicester can get smashed with a points deduction every time they bob up into the Premier League and it'll make no material difference to their inevitable relegation.

Best-case for them is to yo-yo between the divisions, dodging PSR bullets until the next time they're back in that league.
Financially that's not a bad deal.

You want to get promoted via the play offs, then get relegated for the parachute payments.

Do that a few times and you're minted

I dunno, Villa did alright.
It happened in a different era, the Prems at the absolute height of its powers and has became a closed shop of 17 teams, if we went out of it we’d be royally fuc*ed and probably wouldn’t be able to get back in like they did. It took a faulty decision from VAR to keep them up in that 2019/20 season as well which would’ve completely changed the trajectory.

I suspect we'll never see another sanction handed out ever again. We were to be the sacrificial lamb that held off an independent regulator but we upset the script by staying up and a regulator was appointed anyway. Everyone, not just Evertonians, knew the whole thing was flawed and was essentially a stitch up so it's lost all credibility. The whole thing was a fiasco and I'm really surprised that Masters has managed to keep his job, tbh.
Kept his job as he hasn't rattled any of the big boys.
