Press going in headline he’s agreed to sign for united then in article…

‘United are waiting on Delap to decide’

So press know no more than anyone else.

If you take everton out the mix. Why on earth would you join Man U. Yeah chelsea/newcastle champs league etc…but Man U.
The media love 'selling' players to Man United for clickbaiting

Many do want to play for their countries and will want to play in a World Cup. This summer will see some odd transfers of players searching for playing time to be sure they're considered for next summer. I'm not saying he's one of those, he doesn't have a senior cap, but as a younger player he should be seeking out playing time regardless.
If you believe you are good enough you will be confident of playing time wherever you go .
If you don’t have that self belief you will probably end up sitting on the bench whatever your destination,

Would be disappointed with the club if they offered to be a stepping stone club. Can't see Moyes approaching a potential signing that way either.

As for Delap, sounds like he's in demand, he can pick and choose. Playing in Europe would be a pull we can't offer that yet.

Won't lose sleep if he goes elsewhere.

Big question is where will he play and get Europe.

Can’t see him getting much play time at Newcastle or chelsea.

United cannot offer anything except for play time. We will be able to offer European football before them!

You would be surprised by our upward trajectory over the second half of the season.
It isn’t something that doesn’t happen fairly often with struggling clubs , who put together an inspired run to mid table security.
It’s not something that necessarily recommends us, the question remains why we were down there at all ( and why we have been down there for many previous seasons as well ).
To a young player we remain essentially a nothing club , and a hard sell.
It’s the job of our administrators and coaches to change that perception by improving our present .
I just don’t think it is necessary or helpful to disregard our illustrious past when trying to navigate our future .
( not that anyone at the club is suggesting we are)
