A side can cope with one player with limited mobility, but he needs runners and angles to hit. As much as I dislike kane, he can move the ball about well.

tuchel had chance to be bold and bring in a new dawn, kane will retire from international football within 18 months, unless injury gets him. The kids of recent years aren't kids anymore, foden and gordon and palmer are all established regular players, for a side with so many options doesn't the squad look bare.
Thta's not Tuchels style though, I don't know why anyone is surprised. He comes in plays very limited footy to try and get a trophy then normally gets fired very soon after.

If Toney had stayed in the prem or similar I would say he had a great chance of being the man, as it is Kane is still probably ahead of the other strikers. Watkins is a bit purple patchy, Toney plays joke footy to pay off his bookies

isn't gambling outlawed out in saudi or wherever? does Delap get a call up if he's playing for chelsea? and what do real think re super-trent when they have the club world cup to prepare for?

Gonna be a long summer this.

I think Delap gets a call up if he's on the bench for chelsea, as for whats outlawed in Saudi, there is what is written in law and what the rich folk do, regardless it was a flippant remark to highlight Toney's lack of quality regular football.

I think you definiately have Alexander Arnold in your squad, whether you pick him depends on the quality of opposition

I was being equally flippant. I don't see a conveyor of players coming through currently, especially not in the striker department. There's four english players in this seasons top 16 league scorers. Watkins, Palmer, Bowen, and Delap. Two of them are midfielders. (for completeness sakes, N'diaye turns up for us in 25th with 9 goals and zero assists)

Delap is going to the U21 Euros. Think he would have been picked had there been no youth tournament this summer

U21 squad for their Euros. Pretty strong in attack and midfield

England Under-21 squad

Goalkeepers: James Beadle (Sheffield Wednesday, on loan from Brighton), Owen Goodman (AFC Wimbledon, on loan from Crystal Palace), Teddy Sharman-Lowe (Doncaster Rovers, on loan from Chelsea), Tommy Simkin (Walsall, on loan from Stoke)

Defenders: Dennis Cirkin (Sunderland), Charlie Cresswell (Toulouse), Ronnie Edwards (QPR, on loan from Southampton), CJ Egan-Riley (Burnley), Teden Mengi (Luton Town), Brooke Norton-Cuffy (Genoa), Tino Livramento (Newcastle United), Jarell Quansah (Liverpool)

Midfielders: Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Jobe Bellingham (Sunderland), Archie Gray (Tottenham Hotspur), Hayden Hackney (Middlesbrough), Jack Hinshelwood (Brighton and Hove Albion), Tyler Morton (Liverpool), Alex Scott (AFC Bournemouth), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)

Forwards: Liam Delap (Ipswich Town), Harvey Elliott (Liverpool), Tom Fellows (West Bromwich Albion), Omari Hutchinson (Ipswich Town), Sam Iling-Junior (Middlesbrough, on loan from Aston Villa), Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal), Dane Scarlett (Tottenham Hotspur), Jay Stansfield (Birmingham City), Jonathan Rowe (Marseille, on loan from Norwich)

Is it?

With the money spent in this country on youth development you would hope for stronger squads than this

Obviously ommisions of Branthwaite, Mcatee, Harwood Bellis, Lewis, Hall, Colwill, Trafford, Mainoo, Rodgers, Mudueke, Lewis Skelly weaken that squad considerably

I'd say the only players in this squad that would be looking at senior caps in the next few years are obviously (Liveramento, Wharton & Quansah as they have all been selected for the seniors already)
Gray, Scott, Delap....................and thats all outside chances

They’re playing Senegal in a friendly in a couple of weeks - I hope they get thrashed. I doubt Pickford will be starting that match. He's easily number 1 but I do think Henderson is a worthy number 2

In my opinion potential senior caps from that squad include: Livramento, Quansah, Anderson, Gray, Hinshelwood, Scott, Wharton, Delap, Elliott, Nwaneri

I said midfield and attack is strong, not the whole squad.
