Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Their majority share holder is worth roughly $200bn so I don't think they'll be no marks for very long.

Great. They might start to do something just after Gueye retires.

He may prove me wrong but would be really shocked if he chose to end his career with this lot.

I often wonder if our club should operate a 'tip line' for stuff like this... Seems like any scouting system worth a toss should have a way of capturing and screening info from the worldwide fan base.... All it would take is one email address per continent that the recruitment wonks at Finch farm can survey and assign scouts to watch promising leads. It's basic stuff, like getting sales leads. Anyone know if they do this?
Everyone would want referral commission, and rightly so. You’d think scouts etc would want info from every possible source, but if you earn a living from it, you probably shouldn’t need suggestions from Tommo in Bootle.

That said, whilst DoFs and recruitment specialists may be different and more scientific, I know a bloke who worked in scouting/recruitment (UK based too) for Fulham then Arsenal, and he did sod all work, and knew less about football and players than most people on here. It was just a job.

Jason Knight links last week - someone posted his stats. I've never watched him but the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw them was that they indicate he'd do the job Gana does.

I believe I'm right in saying that he literally led European stats on ball recoveries this season - context required about level of opposition etc, but he's supposedly had a genuinely brilliant season
