Don’t get the buzz about this fella, he’s better than what we’ve got but he’s nothing special
Think he’ll be Englands next #9 after Kane hangs it up. He’s an all around striker who’s only going to improve over the next few seasons.

I’m not sure. Personally, as much as I think he’s a blert, he’s a brilliant footballer. Creates so many chances, they’ve just got no one to take them. Utd have wasted his talents with their recruitment over the last several years - which has been arguably the worst in the leagues (ours included)
But never seems to be there when you really would want him to be...like last week...

Saw a thing saying that Utd are definitely signing him. Think all this is just a case of his agent getting as much dough as possible.

Never thought I'd ever be in a position to say this though, but he would be mad to choose Utd over us 🤷
I saw a headline that suggested as much, but when you dug into the article, it was clear they were waiting on Delap to make a final decision. The article was framed around Utd working out terms, which suggested that he was mulling several such agreements, or still working with other teams on their proposals. The key bit was that Utd was set on their end and waiting for Delap’s choice.

Be surprised if he went to Utd and got to wonder if Utd can afford him without cooking the books again

He's one where I wouldn't mind us signing him because he was clearly their standout player, and to score a decent number of goals in a truly horrific side is impressive. He's young, English and signs on lids' living room walls outside Goodison. 30 million though... especially when we probably need to be bringing in two strikers. Still, imo worth the gamble. That said, he'll probably end up picking a bigger team then sitting on their bench earning twice as much as he would have at Eveerton.

Seeing as they've been given a huge helping hand by the Premier League already, they likely know there will be no trouble if they get creative once again with their bookkeeping.

If United weren’t in the mess they are in now I’d still say Everton was the better move for the player as he hasn’t peaked or shown enough ability to be in a team in the top half.
From what I’ve seen of Delap, he’s a good player but nothing ‘standout’. He’s not a prolific scorer. Would be good if Moyes can get him and mould him into a 20 a season striker. Maybe in the right system he can become that.

So the media proclaiming a couple of days ago that the whole Man Utd squad was up for sale to avoid going bankrupt and next they are reporting that they're completing deals for Cunha, Mbeumo and Delap which would cost them about £150m - shows why everything has to be read with a pinch of salt until it is done.

According to the gossip section this morning, United are after
Cunha
Delap
Mbuemo
Leao

The press are desperate to keep them relevant as usual.
