For people saying they’d run from Utd.

- Expectations are lower than any time in decades and he’d have the opportunity to move them up.
- He’d get a higher salary there
- Bigger profile would help with international hopes.
- He’d have even less competition for a starting role than he would here.
- Unless Bruno F moves he’d be playing with one of the most creative players in the league.

I’d suggest they’re actually our biggest competition to sign him

Am I the only one who thinks Bruno Fernandes is overrated?

I’m not sure. Personally, as much as I think he’s a blert, he’s a brilliant footballer. Creates so many chances, they’ve just got no one to take them. Utd have wasted his talents with their recruitment over the last several years - which has been arguably the worst in the leagues (ours included)

Not so sure that should be a motivating factor. Game time, developing and doing the business on the pitch would be the critical factor. 'Should' doesn't matter though, all on what the player and his advisors think are priorities. Is he even a contender at this point?

Mind you, knowing Chelsea they'd buy him and then just loan him out 😆
Of course it's a motivating factor. If he goes Chelsea and scores 15 whilst playing in the champions league he's easily second choice behind Kane. People have massive blue tinted glasses on what is good for Delap here, he'd start for about 16 teams in the league

The other side to that, is if they sell Fernandes, rashford, garnacho, Hojlund and a few others, then they could have a few quid and what stops them late in the window paying 60/70 for a striker who will be their main number 9. There’s no guarantee Delap will be their number 1 striker, which he definitely will be at Everton

Being ex man city if he didn't hit it off right away,
He could very quickly become a scapegoat .
They already have two young forwards in his position.
Both of which came with big expectation.
He would be better off at someone else.
For the money he looks a prospect,
Thought The other ipswich forward Hurst looked a more rounded player than him the few times. I watched them.

Not forgetting living in London and how much more they’d be able to pay him too.

They’ve also been handing out stupidly long contracts out like sweets to try and get around PSR regs.

Well have to agree to disagree here. Fundamentally all of this is if, buts and maybes.

Plus, I rather feel he'll end up elsewhere than Everton, so no blue tinted specs here. Doubt it'll be Chelsea. Might be very wrong.
