Sad to say this loan went exactly how many of us expected it too. What a waste.
Injuries aside, he just doesnt have the qualities of a scoring forward in the PL. Bet he could have a decent career in the championship.

I didn't think too much of him before all his bad injuries
Worked hard but seemed a bit hyped up to me

Now he's on a long road back to that level
Glad we are swerving

Be interesting to see how he progresses mate, I think he has a rare skill set, if I was him I’d look at a year in Italy to try and get a bit of momentum

If he were to even go a year in the championship where it is physically demanding and he'd be guaranteed starts. Could give him the momentum needed

I don’t think it’s the talent mate, I think it’s the physical robustness of playing top level football. Some people’s bodies just break down.

When you stop, start it’s hard to build momentum, somewhere like Italy with a slower pace and more forgiving climate, might ignite and condition him.

yea you're probably right, he has been out for a long time now. Tough at the top to lose that level of conditioning

Happens to a few mate who just can’t stay fit, all the talent but there bodies just can stand up to it, sad to see.

Daniel Sturridge springs to mind and Wilson over at Newcastle.
Could maybe add DCL to that, a little less talented but definitely on an upward trajectory before his series of injuries
