2024/25 Iliman Ndiaye

Think Jake might be more of a Lescott. Scores a goal and can play full back.

OBrien definitely has a goal in him. Really disappointing that Tarkowski and Branthwaite only had 1 goal between them, Garner and Gueye 0 goals between them and if it wasn't for Beto, it would be DCL on 3. That's 4 goals from the whole spine of the team and something that needs massive improvement.

He needs a bit of protecting from refs in my opinion mate, I think he gets a lot of ankle biters players at other clubs don’t get due to referring decision bias.

You can do it to Everton players.
Does he need to go down more? Take the fouls rather than playing through them. When he’s playing well, he’s electric and fun to watch. Feel like some of the fouls he plays through the refs forget about over the course of the match. Looking at how teams are all over him, I think him playing through also increases his chance for injury.

Interesting comparison I'd not thought about....kind of makes you think a bit about how Moyes want's his players to adapt to his proven formula. I am starting to see a bit of the Tim Cahill in Alcaraz, and maybe there's a bit of Jagielka in Jake? If he can continue to improve Beto, Mykolenko and Tim in the same vein then I think there are much better days ahead. Considering none of the three (N'diaye, Alcaraz and Jake) were scouted or brought in by Moyes they look pretty damn perfect for him. Get himself a new right-back and that back four or five is as good as anything out there.

I think the comparison is his size, balance and strength mixed with skill. I loved Pienaars, a proper footballer.

Yeah there is a base of a Moyes team isn't there. Tim is an interesting one isn't he, has some good attributes but also quite naive. Could go either way him.

Surprised that he didn't get at least one of the PotS awards from the club. He's had an excellent season and deserves the recognition..

Would of got my vote - actually think it was bad move giving it to Idrissa, not that hes not worthy, but you want it to empower a player and turn them into a leader and nurture that belonging and bond with the club. Idrissa doesn't need that.

Do they do most improved player awards?

Seems a bit embarrassing/condescending as a top level athlete having to pick one of them up infront of your peers

“Congratulations on not being as crap as you used to be.”
They do it in the NBA.

It has that spin if you choose to see life in a negative way, aye. ;)
