Hopes for next season.

A couple of young exciting signings. Two good bosmans ( would be delighted with JWP and Gomes) and some interesting loans.

Not sell anyone.

Continued promising performances

Top 10.

A great cup run.

Not too much to ask is it?

Priorities:

1. Avoid being embarrassing
2. Build and threaten, retaining our youngest talent
3. Win a cup or come close
4. Avoid the runners up to the runners up to the runners up league, which is nothing but a distraction and at least aim for the runners up to the runners up league or better still the runners up league.
5. Go unbeaten at Bramley Moore.
6. World peace.

This is going to be an interesting season on paper (it never works out like that though). Everton resurgent should be in the op 10 all year. Many of our rivals for that will be facing european qualifiers and competition games all season(Look at Spurs and Manure this year). No fear of relegation at any point would be the first target.
Given that we are going through a major rebuild this summer and will still have a small squad, any European qualification might be a curse rather than a blessing. We would need to add a lot to the squad in the summer of 2026 to play those extra games and we would likely then suffer in 2026/27 season.
I'd go for a Moyesesque sensible approach: try to win every game and be competetive, realistically target between 7th and 10th and then the following year stun everyone with CL. Alternately have that cup win get us a Euro place
That approach also allows us to focus on the domestic cups next season, which as Newcastle and Palace have shown, are winnable - and we need that weight off our team and fans backs.

Not sure what to expect next season recruitment is the biggest thing this year we need plenty of it and need to get it right so we don’t end up in the mess we have just come out of. I’d be happy finishing 8-12th next season with a good account of ourselves in one of the cups and the hope of adding more signings next summer to really give us that push towards top 6

IF we get the transfer window right. We should as a bare minimum be looking to improve on this season. In terms of league placing I'd say about 10th.

However, and it involves a slice of luck along the way win an effin trophy!!!!!

As Palace and the horse punchers have shown anything is possible.
