2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

Even so mate, there will be others at the club that will wield an influence over this.

Hes just spent six months influencing the outcome of PL games, i think hes worth more now - then we've agreed to pay for him - its free money w wont leave behind us.
Do hope so.

I suspect we have a deadline, and will wait to close to the end of deadline to announce for PSR reasons.

the fact he started and doucoure didn’t makes me confident we’ll sign him, if moyes didnt fancy him it would have been very easy to give douc the swansong, plus newcastle away is a tough fixture so doucoure may have made sense in some ways

the goal and a strong performance adds to that

it’s clear he’s a fans favourite too and they’ll want to build on the positive end to the season. i think not signing him could get a lot of fans backs up

i think we’ll get it done

I also like that he'll give a shoulder to mark his presence.
This gets at something that's pretty big for me: if both Beto and Charly are starting in the middle, it's going to give the opposing center halves nightmares. Both are just constantly running at you - with or without the ball - and if they're not running by you, they're both apt to make you feel it the next day. Meanwhile you can't even get the ball off Ndiaye half the time, even if you try and foul him. Just seeing the three of them on the team sheet, everybody in the league is going to know they're in for a rough afternoon in every way possible.

I don't know how to deal with these feelings of hope going into next year.
