Agree but we’re not in the position to have a second striker on the bench worth 20-30 mil. I like Beto and I am glad he’s been given a proper chance, and if he stays I hope he continues to play because he gives 100%. But ultimately, I think we can probably do better

Frankly bizarre comment. Center Forward one of the key positions on the pitch, of course you can have a second striker like Beto on the bench. In fact I’d say it was essential if we really want to progress

In truth had one golden season under Carlo…now he’ll end up at a west ham/sheff u…while the club goes on our biggest window in years with cash.

It's genuinely sad to see him making noises to stay now it's clear this is as good as it gets for him. We would be fools to keep a player that sees us a last resort.

The most sensible solution would probably to be resigning DCL and selling Beto. Beto is much better imo but still if we could get 20-30 for him and then get Delap in. DCL as back up to delap with little or no expenditure would be a step in the right direction

I don’t like to slag off players but DCL is a crap centre forward. Lukaku scored pretty well one goal per two games, DCL scores approx one every five games. He is nowhere near good enough. In nine seasons with the blues he had one good year back in 2020-2021…get rid…..

I am not against him staying but if he had put that chance away game over! instead there were a couple of opportunity's for Schar and Guimares to equalize and cost us 2 points and that sums up DCL just not clinical enough

Take away the 3 month spell where he got into the England squad and he's been distinctly average. Nothing wrong with that. Many of them about. But i think that whole england/few months thing he thought he was a top drawer name/striker. If its true he was looking for the sort of money reported he's either deluded or badly advised. I mean that is top striker money levels. You aint that Dominic. You had a little purple patch 5 years ago in stadiums we could hear you fart.
Let him find a bit of something at one of the newly promoted clubs like a sunderland or something.
Doucoure and calvert lewin going would make my summer with Everton. Its time to move on.
