This has Ben Doak’s contract ending June 30th this year. I’m assuming Liverpool have one of those options to extend an extra year which seems common these days? Even if that’s the case, 12 months left doesn’t leave them in a great bargaining position. Sure I saw a report somewhere that he won’t sign another deal either due to a lack of opportunities.
As difficult as dealing with them obviously is, think there’s a deal to be done there.
I don’t think it’s that easy. We sold Gueye and only ever found an adequate replacement for him when… well, when we bought him back. There aren’t many players out there who does what he does to that standard. More tackles than anyone in the league by a mile at the age of 35.
Heard we're linked with Jason Knight. Not sure how he's been doing at Bristol City but I wanted us to take a chance on him when he was at Derby. Left there for fairly cheap as well.
I’m not up to speed with this fella, but how come he only started less than 50% of Boro games this season?Thats his loan ending

He has been there stand out player.
Presses really well and puts a tackle in.
Only Watched him a couple of times but looked worth a gamble.
Think the fans would like him
He signed a "long-term" deal in 2023, but the end date was never publicized. It's reasonable to assume 2026.Thats his contract/loan at Boro.
His contract at Liverpool has no expiry listed.
Not bad numbers in that caseInjured since jan
Now I can't wait for next season. I am fine with no marquee signing and just volume business this summer.
Oh please, our expensive players turn out crap anyways with our luck. I want brilliantly mediocre football players good for each specific role. I wouldnt mind a 11 ji-sung park.Quality over volume.
We have to use the free market and loan market but when we spend any money I rather it be on quality
