It depends what he wants. He'd get plenty of game time at Newcastle as they rotate, and Isaak is injured quite a lot. But if he wants to be the main man, we definitely are the best option.

For Everton Moyes was always operating with little cash previously - and was generally adding to a full squad.
This summer is unprecedented - so much business needs to be done early.

….i doubt that will be the case if Moyes suggests we’re ‘behind the black ball’. I actually believe he’ll think we’re a viable option, although i’m not overly concerned if he comes here or not.

I do think our public interest in Delap is a strong indication that DCL won’t be here next season.

Maybe it's the socks, but realised he reminds me of Steve Claridge. Scrappy, puts himself about. Think he could be good for us. He's definitely a goal scorer

Moyes openness is a bit out of character. However, the Ipswich manager has openly said he's off so he's not breaking the code they mostly have of not talking about buying each others players.

Probably a good a chance delap doesn't even play today, if I was McKenna I'd be thinking about next season and protecting a saleable asset from getting injured

Used to love Steve Claridge! Leicester punched above their weight under O'Neill in those days. I'd settle for a modern day Steve Claridge.

Where do you think he will go ?,I'm looking at his options and I don't think he's ready to take on the united or chelsea role, Newcastle ...possibly as a squad player.
Then after that Europe , if he has international hopes, don't think that a good option for him.

I've posted that I'm not that struck on him as I have watched Ipswich a few times this season ( family connection ), but think there is a reasonable thought we may be a good option for him.

If Man Utd and Chelsea have offered him a deal, we've got no chance. These players don't care they won't play, it's all about the money and if it doesn't work out, they can always force a move away. He'll actually think he can go to Man Utd and be a starter, and in their current state, he's probably right. You'd imagine they'll buy someone else though
