Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning everyone,

It rained overnight! The first rain we've had for 9 weeks. Now cloudy and grey .

Feeling very rough today, must be getting the cold that mum had , either that or I got too close to Analfield last Sunday , full of germs that place.

With further rain forecast I'd be surprised if the cricket is one but who knows. If not I will be watching the play off final with @Gwladysover , well not actually with her but you know what I mean.

Mum's carers are pretty hit and miss. Yesterday the girl turned up for the afternoon visit which should have been at 4pm at 6.30!

I'd already sorted mums tea and she was in bed so I sent her away. Today she turned up on time but mum was disappointed that it was an English girl. Her favourites are Sarah whose from Ghana and Soome who is a Muslim lady. "The English girls don't take enough care , I don't like them " Mum said - reverse racism?

Good luck to your 2nd team today @Armaghtoffee and I echo G's sentiments about our friend @Terrarian

Hope that @anjelikaferrett is getting over the accident. I know Fred's fine because I spoke to him yesterday 😂.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Hello everybody. I'm OK. I got signed off for a week yesterday but have to see the GP next Thursday.
In other news Frankie was 1 month old yesterday. I looked after him for a bit while his Mum went to Boots. I was watching the cricket and decided it was about time he was introduced to the finer points of Test match cricket. He was less than enthralled as you can see.

How cute is he? Test cricket has that effect on me as well.😁

Evening all I hope you are all well. I too have had grandma duties today- Josh and Beth brought her to visit and they looked so exhausted that I sent them to bed and me and G took her for a walk to see the horses in the field near us. You forget what it’s like to have a baby that doesn’t sleep all night.
I’ve been really frustrated by easyJet today. Should have been flying to Kos next weekend but obviously with Garry’s op being on the 5th we can’t go. I’ve tried to swap the flights to this time next year which they can do for the outbound flight but not the return one as the flights back are not available to book unless you have booked a package with a hotel. So there are 4 flights that I could come back on but I’m not being allowed to book it. These will only be available to book in September. I’ve spoken to a virtual assistant (not human), a virtual real person online and a real person on the phone and it’s like banging my head against a brick wall. We’ll just end up cancelling and losing our money which is a pain. Heartbroken not to be going but perspective needed - G’s knee is more important.
Hope everyone who’s watching enjoys the game tomorrow 💙

Morning, I do get limited capacity for work payments, I just don't get PIP, so I'm not on basic benefits completely. I'm sure Starmer will be gunning for me soon enough. I'm already on tenterhooks whether or not I will have these payments stopped. I can't work it's physically and mentally just not an option. I wish I could work trust me.

Hope everyone is well, I have a stonker headache again, pretty fed up with them and they've really affected me mentally. I don't have the strength for this much longer.
That made me really sad when I read it. I sincerely hope you can stay strong enough to carry on for you and Daisy, and please look for help and support. No one here doubts your wish to get better and work and it sickens me to see the impact of these decisions made by government. We’re all thinking of you

I will never understand what they gain from going after vulnerable people, just easy targets aren't we.

Now don't get me wrong, there are people who take the piss which affects all of us. there's some near me, they walk around with the obligatory walking stick but don't need it, you'll catch them speed marching or carrying big heavy bags no problem, it's them sort do it for all. It's still disgusting penalising those that are ill and infirm though.

On a lighter(well heavier) note here's a pic of Axl Rose 2025

Keep going Terrarian. You and Daisy are much loved in this thread. There must be something somebody can do about your headaches- start badgering the medics again. I know it's a chore but sometimes you have to be a nuisance to get heard x

That's rubbish for you. However I'm glad you had Grandma time today.
