He’s not as hot as some people think he is, and Everton are nowhere near as ugly as some people make out. I think we are capable of getting him, and I’ll be pleased if we do. But I don’t necessarily agree with the “You’ll be a guaranteed starter” sales pitch, as it’s not true.

He will have to earn his place in the team like everyone else, and Beto isn’t going to roll over and let him take his place without a fight. That’s not a problem, it’s how it should be, but I disagree that he’d be a guaranteed starter.

Beto's G&A figures not that dissimilar from his when extrapolated over a season, as has been noted.

It's in his other stats where he seems to be in the top percentiles, so there's that.

Always good to have two players duking it out for top dog status tho, hey..

Don’t wish to be picky but under the rules of scrabble the use of ‘delapidated’ would be open to challenge by your opponent, be ruled invalid and removed from the board, you would receive zero points for your turn, and your opponent will be given the next move.

However using the word ‘cack’ eg in the context of your scrabble skills, would be worth 10 points.
 

From clubs he’s spoken to which Moyes said was 3-4

Doubt he goes to Man U…basket case of a club and no champs league.

Newcastle…champs league possibility but unless they sell Isak he is the back up striker

Chelsea…are arguably a draw for him…Good squad, poss champs league but they have other strikers to compete with and does he think they just collect players for the fun of it!

Everton…Very fact he spoke with Moyes…says your reputation as a club is slowly improving. You have to sell the project…new owners with ambition, new ground, new dawn…remind him of the atmosphere when he played at Goodison.

Fact he spoke to us means we have a chance…12 months ago no way he’d look at us. Dyche/No board/huge debts/Owner wanting out/disharmony in the fan base…looks lot more positive
 
Already spoken to him I see so should get news quickly enough you'd hope.

I wouldn't entertain much hesitancy myself if his camp are holding out for better terms or a glamour move.

He is not a player that excites me really. I want players here who want to be here. Perhaps that's the case with him but if it seems like it isn't then move on elsewhere quickly.
 
Absolutely worth a punt at the price. Good record this season and still a young player with time to improve a lot. Im not as excited as some other are, but would be pleased if we signed him. Would hopefully solve our forward problem for a couple of seasons.
