You know a while back when the likes of Esk were peddling administration as a possibility or even probability for us I remember talking about how, for all our problems, we still weren't showing the major signs of a failing business, like frantic cost cutting, unpaid bills, or large scale redundancies. And therefore didn't really believe anything was THAT imminent.

United are showing the signs of a real crisis, not least because so many of those player contracts they couldn't get out of even if they gave the players away. It's hard to see such a large institution going completely insolvent but stranger things have happened. Things could definitely get a lot worse before they get better.

I would do summersaults if they went bust, the amount of garbage their fans spewed over their successful years makes me want nothing but the worst for that club, Liverpool fans in Ireland haven't yet reached the levels of obnoxiousness but they are closing the gap very quickly but without as much success.

They may offload some of them this summer, and it may provide some short-term leeway for PSR, but they're going to take a hit on the books.

United won't recoup all the money to invest, and additionally they may need to facilitate a fair percentage of said players' wages. I can't see them rebuilding well.

They may bring Cunha in, but after that I can see them having to sell to buy with only a % of the expenditure being reinvested.
