El Crapico: Spurse vs ManUre

I mean even go back a bit - Ferguson, prime Mourinho even Guardiola changes things a lot. And most importantly, they made players better
If you're going to be an ideologue, you need to be a winner. Guardiola is the ultimate example - but his ideology was at least coherent: extreme possession as a risk-averse means of control. I'm not a fan of his style, but it's utterly coherent.

Mourinho, in his own way, was also an ideologue. His belief that the team that makes the most mistakes loses was central to his philosophy. Essentially, the team WITHOUT the ball would make fewer errors (but only, obviously, if the players without the ball were elite). Again, coherent.

My issue isn't so much with ideologues as with deluded ideologues or snake oil salesmen peddling fake, but stylish, "philosophies' for personal brand enhancement purposes.

Amorim seems hopelessly out of his depth.

I think I said in another thread - these “system managers” are myths. If you can’t be pragmatic you’re a bad manager

It's why Ashworth got sacked I think. He didn't want him cos he probably knew he wouldn't do anything with the squad of players. Brexit Jim or someone closer to football matters did though.

What absolute pleb Maguire is, awful sportsmanship.

Awful professional.

With a mentality like this Utd are in huge trouble.

Not sure, come over for a gloat and an "F you loser!", as the game between them was where the flash points were. I'm all for bad losers, I want it to hurt, to much plucky accepting of the way things go is accepting second place. Time to get nasty.

I've wanted a killer streak in Everton players for some time. I don't want opposition beaten, I want them destroyed.

He is meme creators dream🤣

Absolute balls of steel.

Wicked, snarked her right off, and got his 'I told you so' in.

That's how you gloat like a pro.

We've needed characters in the manager department, none of the crying hissy fit mourinho stuff, but a gruff 'I don't like the media' type.

Sooner the scum media are treated very very severely, the more fun we all get to have at their expense. Shoe on the other foot time!

Maguire always looks like he's about to cry, so does that sickly looking little wretch Fernandes.....their boss is the same.
Tarks the smiling assasin doesn't look like crying when he's ripped a hammy apart. COYB....proper team. Get us Delap in and we'll be a handful.
