Thank God we had Southampton today. No disrespect to them, but there are the only team in the league we were guaranteed to beat. Even then we still made hard work for ourselves in the second half. Big work is needed in the summer because outside of a couple of exceptions that's one utterly dogdirt team we've got there.
Guaranteed to beat? They'd already beaten us twice this season.

Well today was more about Goodison itself, than the game that took place on the her turf. Happy with the win, happy with the 3 points, while not getting out of 1st gear, but sort of couldn't care less how we played for once, especially as far as the last few years go.

The occasion, the day itself. God almighty, I was the opposite of grinning like a Cheshire Cat. From the coach welcome onwards, I was a wreck. The La's - There She Goes will forever hit me differently after hearing it pre-match. What a pleasure it has been to come to a ground like Goodison Park since 2006 ('some' performances aside).

Fair play to the Southampton fans that stayed on for the farewell afterwards too.

OMG, I’ve never witnessed a fanbase like it . I’m in town and it’s still jumping with blue, but wtf has happened to the 1878’s flags totally blagged by Someone who hasn’t got a clue.??????? They said well so our thing which was give everyone a scarf. Pathetic..,
