Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi folks. Just got back from my brother's. The whole family watched the match, we joined in with the singing and, even though I wasn't there, it was still emotional. Dale Street is full of drunk but happy Evertonians - still singing. 60 Grand Seamus Coleman and Spirit of The Blues seem to be the songs of choice. I have fully abstained from alcohol today. After yesterday's excesses I couldn't face it!

Jordan pickford dynamite is definitely the song of choice on County Road. It isn't very complimentary to certain parts of the North East though.😀

Good morning lads and lasses on this fine day and the weather is good too.
What a day for the club , biased I certainly am but I don't remember anything like that when Arsenal or West Ham moved ,as I said biased so I have no idea if that is correct . So lovely memories from yesterday we got the first 45 mins of the celebrations so I will try to get hold of a video of the rest .
It was so special to see some old favourites and sad to Joe Royle needing a stick . It brought many tears and left me with a warm glow of how football can be so special in our lives ,I loved the old lad they kept showing who had been going for 80 years that is what is special and the players signing Paul's shirt on such a busy day for them.
I think it is fair to say that we were never in danger in the game so the lads done us proud ,two lovely goals from one of the stand out players and a good allround display .It did look like Dukes saying goodbye ,if so it heartens me that the team do mean business in sorting the club out .We cannot and hopefully will not have high paid passengers/ liabilities in the team . I desperately hope they give Idrissa Gueye another two years he is one of my all time favourites .
Have a great day all if the AGM goes ahead .COYB
P.S. We finished above Spurs and Utd fo the first time in many years ,I have to give it to Moyes for the revitalisation of the team and crowd .

Morning everyone,

What a day yesterday. Everything was perfect , well apart from Beto being offside for 2 goals 😂.

So pleased that I went and experienced the Goodison atmosphere one last time.

So , need to clear my head and make the arrangements for the AGM now.

Bit of gardening, a bit of tidying , get some pizzas - good job I've already got the vino in.

Report to follow 😆.

@Gwladysover have a safe journey home .
Have a lovely day everyone.

And why wouldn't the AGM go ahead?
I'm sure we will have a quorum 😂

Thank you, enjoy the AGM, hope you all have a great time. Can’t wait to hear all about it. Meeting @Barnfred 55 and hopefully @anjelikaferret for a quick coffee on the way to the station, hope Fred won’t be too traumatised by the shock of seeing me in person😂

Never posted in this thread before but read it quite often .
Today as huge as it is , is a double whammy tearjerker as we lost a very good friend of mine on Friday after a short illness.
I've met thousands of Blues in my lifetime but none more so than him. We'd meet in the Arkles before the game for a few pints and a good natter with our sons . Very popular around that area where his family are from & still there and never heard anyone with a bad word about him.
Always laughing seeing the bright side even on dark days , he's going to be sadly missed by many.

There will be 2 empty seats in the Bullens today and know how much he wanted not to miss the last at Goodison.
Season ticket holder and went to many aways including Europe.
I'le not put his name up out of respect for his family , as you can guess everyone that new him are in bits .

Not sure how I'm going to feel later as this is still very raw & emotional atm.
But I do know he would want nothing more than a Blues win and a memorable send off for the Old Lady.
So sorry for the loss of your friend from how you describe him I’m sure he would have loved yesterday and I bet it was so emotional for you 💙
