New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I recall from Moshiri's time that they engaged a US company to generate interest. No doubt that would have been accelerated in recent months.

You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out they wouldn't have been overwhelmed by inquiries, not from global brands at least.

Whilst the stadium itself is magnificent, we have made ourselves virtually anonymous globally and have been slugging it out in relegation fights. No pot for 30 years, barely any European football, constant struggle and negative press.

Any sense of underwhelm is based more on the name than anything. If it was just "Hill" or "Hill Dixon" then I guess it takes the silliness away.

Spurs couldn't get an offer worth taking. For TFG, it was either this, wait it out, or shelve the idea. The whole name thing will fizzle out and definitely will if we're doing well.
All of this basically, people need a reality check. Building the stadium wasn’t automatically going to trigger the dawn of a new age for us, there is still plenty of hard work now to get it right in the pitch from the opportunity it gives us. We could still mess it up but this is just the start of us trying to increase revenue off the back of the stadium.

Not sure how this type of advertising works for a law firm?
I’ve struggled with that a little as well. They’ll have distribution channels for their services, and a big chunk is normally ‘business to business’ and suppliers to ancillary services or products another business provides to customers. I would not have thought they’d have a big ‘business to customer’ revenue stream, but maybe they have or that’s the way they want to go.

It's humiliating, to be honest.
The new owners have had to follow Kenwright (little parochial football club when the game was going international) for 20 years and then Moshiri (lunatic football club for 9 years) where the club has basically regressed with a number of relegation row into the mix. Some of our fanbase don’t even seem to have lofty aspirations.

The average domestic football fan does not view us as a big club, and I bet if you asked fans on the continent who are our biggest clubs we’d barely get a mention.

In light of the above, what did you expect in term of sponsor profile and value? People really need a reality check.

Be next seasons shirt and sponsor next, for me this is just the first steps now on the way for us to build. Get better deals investment in the club, get better brand deals into the club

theyre gonna have to a plow a lot more money in to sponsor the shirt. they seem to go hand in hand like Emirates, Ethiad, Allianz etc, but those corporations are paying a hell of a lot more for the shirt sponsor as well

I’m not sure this company can do that

Don’t often agree with you but with you 💯 here. Its an absolutely shocking names for one the best stadiums in Europe. It’s like a bird has come on shat on it and the stain will never go away.

It's like Jaguar telling everyone their new Liverpool-produced vehicle they hope to conquer world markets with is going to be called "The Brian".

Q. "What car are you hoping to get in the future to fulfil your material ambitions?"

A. "The Jaguar Brian, of course. People will be so envious of me driving past them in my Brian...or 'The Bri' as I like to call it".

Instead, Jaguar did this. After having a full year with no new car models to sell, a renegade advertiser spat this out as their electrified relaunch. PR people do not ever ever speak to normal people.

Poor show from the commercial dept here.

Surely there there was no end of sexy multinationals with millions to burn with the company initials of BMD??

Even BMW would have been nearer

I suspect the companies that sponsor them will be different for all other revenue streams which I can see being for 1) shirt, 2) sleep and 3) training gear / training ground
