They were proven innocentAha! The old guilty until proven innocent approach, Your Honour.
Because people want the glamour of Oil money and murderous regimes.Personally I don't get why people think the name's so awful. We knew that the naming rights were to be sold. What would have been a better option ? Qatar Airways ??? I don't think so. We've had gambling companies on our shirts, for godsake.
There will not be one single possible company out there who has the money to name the stadium who doesn't have some dodgy stuff.I don't know what could go more against the ethos of the city of Liverpool than the unethical actions of this company:
Alaw firm that routinely advises health service bosses faces claims it withheld evidence in a landmark NHS whistleblowing case.
A judge has called for full evidence disclosure to assess claims that healthcare specialist firm Hill Dickinson acted fraudulently in a dispute over a lack of legal protection for NHS doctors in whistleblowing claims.
The firm will now have to account for its actions in litigation that saw more than 50,000 doctors below consultant level in England deprived of legal whistleblowing protections, according to the junior medic at the centre of it, Chris Day (37). The case also had implications for 865,000 agency workers across other sectors – including construction.
Had contracts drafted by the firm been revealed earlier in the litigation, MPs have also argued, it may have saved the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of pounds.

These firms/people make money by trampling on people. I'm sure the new owners are lovely salt of the earth people too.
This is what we wanted though right? To compete? To do this you need to kiss some corporate backside and enjoy the taste of it.
We can't have it both ways.
It’s performative piety.Personally I don't get why people think the name's so awful. We knew that the naming rights were to be sold. What would have been a better option ? Qatar Airways ??? I don't think so. We've had gambling companies on our shirts, for godsake.
So can we say Dick now? This could come in handy going forward.Never ran so quick to edit a word on the GOT keyword censorship as I did when got the embargo email at 17:55.
I've just messaged the bosses at Hill Dickinsons asking them to sponsor Grand Old Team. Said will do it for free, just for the fume.

Sounds like you're only worried about what Kopites are going to say as opposed what it's going to do for our revenue streams. It’s literally because we have the word Dick in our stadium name, and the word Hill precedes it. Like a massive hill of dicks! It’s because it gives license to the RS to rip the piss out of something that we have been holding on to as a beacon of light for years, only for it to become something they can ridicule.
I really hate the term ‘Everton That’. I think it’s both ridiculous and utterly pathetic to define ourselves as unfortunate whilst ignoring all the fortune that has come our way. But this does really feel ‘Everton That’ to me.
They're a Historic Maritime law firm based in the heart of the city....it's actually a good fit.It just sounds a bit tin pot, lower league to me.
I’m not sure it was worth selling. Everyone has a line - I mean would you let a sponsor change the kit colour if the money was right?
For a club that prides itself on history and tradition, it’s just a bit too jarring right now.
And the opportunity to spam this forum by protesting about them.Because people want the glamour of Oil money and murderous regimes.
The only threat to the Kopites is money we can earn from such naming deals. We are beginning that process now. The days of “poor but pure” Everton are over.Sounds like you're only worried about what Kopites are going to say as opposed what it's going to do for our revenue streams.
Which is what it's all about.
Mate hand on heart am genuinely not interested in anything a Kopite or Kopites have got to say about our club.
We've got a state of art stadium on waterfront that keeps them up at night...let's not forget that.
