There may be something to the “too posh” theory - it does rather sound like they got lost on the way to Goodwood or Glyndebourne.

I’m sure if we were a RUFC no-one would be batting an eyelid.
 

But aye does seem slightly odd that a legal firm would wax up to 5-10% of their turnover on the kind of global brand promotion that they probably don’t really need.

Anyone else smelling some PSR washing?
 
Cant understand why our fans reckon on the name.
Name is just a name. You can call what you want.
There is someone who believe and support us to be great again.
Even more, Hill Dickinson is a local firm which is more historical than us and positive brand.
We should give our welcome rather than hate the name and feel embrassed.
 

At the end of the day none of us have any idea of either side of the deal.

They may be aggressively targeting growth in new markets (Middle East/America) and see this as brand credibility and visibility. They might have an existing sponsor/marketing budget that they’re just tweaking and adding a few million to.

I promise you they won’t be doing a deal that they don’t think will pay dividends for them in the long run (literally).

For us it probably means 5m+ annually at least, for me that’s a good deal when you see the figures worldwide and that we’ve done nothing for 30 years. That and the fact it’s a local firm - I can’t complain at all.

How much is this deal worth? Saying it's one of the biggest deals in Europe. My Liverpool mate saying it can't be a big deal as this law firm don't make enough money
 
Its been an eye opening experience this. Its very obvious why this country is so utterly destoryed when you've got endless people either laughing or worrying because a football stadium has Dick in its name. I'm speaking from a place of love and concern now so try to take it in. If the stadiums name truly bothers you, then please, please, PLEASE seak therapy immediately because this is not normal or rational behaviour from a grown adult.
