I know the name that stadium will be.

That's all I'm concerned about.

I feel like I've been battered.

I'm upset here...and that's not being OTT.

Dave if you feel as if you've been "battered", then you deserve compensation ! I can think of at least one prestigious Law Firm you could call...their initials are HD, just can't think of their full name..Can you help ?

Am going to call it The Hill Dickinson stadium.

Give it,it's correct title.

Am proud we've got a local sponsor.

Well done TFG 👏

Or The HD Stadium for short.

The HD, BMD Hairy Bikers Stadium in honour of Dave the anti wall, anti wind turbine, anti Carpetbagger, anti car salesman, ambulance chasing, Green swashbuckling GOT poster..

Can’t believe people are being so ok about it. I’d support the club paying 10 mill a season not to have that name, it’s an absolutely ridiculous name for a stadium.

I don’t think people understand this will be in the history books for ever. Wtf were they thinking? Other fanbases would be protesting this deal.

I didn’t think there’d be a worse naming rights deal than the sports direct arena then this showed up.

Talk about tin eared. Here we are with the eyes of the world on us and on our outgoing stadium and it's all great publicity...we
've looked great - a real credible club again.

But the club have thought it'll be a great idea to the attention on the new stadium sponsors and at the expense of us and Goodison.

IMO this gives us a big indicator about how fit these owners are for us.

No corporate strategist would advise that. They've blown this.

I hate to say it, but the Kopites would have strung their lot up if they'd made a show of them on a world stage like this.

Yeah they’d be making such a noise until it got cancelled. We had more outrage for a badge than we did for our entire identity being sold off.

This is one step towards Red Bull Merseyside Blue.

I said earlier today mate that this has upset me...of course that gets all the chuckles from the usual suspects. But this is important and it's really depressing to realise we've lost our identity a lot today.

Yes, a naming deal for the stadium was going to happen. But that would've been cushioned a lot if the sponsor had a profile that could boost this club. But that's obviously not the case.

There's been real organisational damage done here.

I could have just about accepted Toyota park or something along those lines, or a bank maybe. The arena further down the dock has had better sponsors.

We could have called it New Goodison park and kept all the prestige and link with tradition, or even just Bramley Moore Dock would have become traditional in time, at worst the Everton stadium.

Instead they’ve gone for probably the worst option imaginable. It’s truly only above calling it the Greggs pasty some.

There’s some things money can’t buy and for a club with very few assets, class and authenticity was one of them until this grubby deal.
