Homepage Article Goodison Park to become the permanent home of Everton Women

I'm made up. Goodison Park is to big a park of the clubs history and legacy to just disappear. I guarantee that I'll attend more womans and U21's games then I ever have before now. Its a very ambitious project, I just hope that they remodel the place well so it doesn't look empty most weeks. How cool would it be so get an old school Gwladys street stand back.😁

I've never watched a women's match "live " , only on TV but if they play at Goodison I might just toddle down.

I think this is a brilliant move by TFG.

This is spectacularly good news.

Very happy for the women's side, and delighted with what this means for TFG's willingness to invest in that side.

But I think what makes me happiest is that famous grass, and that famous name is going to remain as a football stadium, even when it changes in time. I won't have to worry about seeing thumbnails of drone footage of Goodison being torn down, or visit Walton again and see it gone. The thought of that has been playing on my mind for a good while, and I'm pleased it's now an irrelevance.

I think this is a really good thing.

I wonder if like Chelsea the Women’s team along with the stadium will be sold to another part of the Group which would help PSR no end.
For me, this has to be the biggest benefit of doing it.

During construction of the new facility on the Liverpool waterfront, Everton's previous ownership group announced plans for an £82m post-demolition renovation project at the Goodison site, which was set to include housing, a care home, retail units and a park.

A chunk if not all of that £82m being invested into the club via what ever means necessary would be a huge boost the P&L.
