Glad of this. Keeps Everton in the area and fans can still visit, go to a game etc. much better than a carpark or block of flats ending up over the old Goodison. Least they have come out with the news before Sunday too

That is a very beautiful thing. Glad such a wonderful stadium isn't being lost. When you look at some of the buildings that get protected status, you can't tell me Goodison isn't of immense historic and cultural significance that really on paper warrants similar preservation. I appreciate why it can't as obviously you can't have a stadium knocking about if it isn't being used, I'm just saying why I'm very happy to read this development.

Great news .. But only yesterday there was a press article about falling attendance at women’s games following the initial Lionesses bounce.

Still, it might give our ladies a lift up the table playing at GP

TFG clearly value the women's game, and as they should, so hopefully this can be a lightning rod to get them back to the good old days of winning the FA Cup and competing at the top end of the WSL.

What will the capacity be ? Will this be financially sustainable considering maintenance , attendance?

Surprised though to read in the article that Goodison will become the permanent home for the women's team next season. Does that mean they are planning to keep the ground as is or remodel it bit by bit? Think it would be great too if the likes of the U21s, U18s played there also
