I still would prefer Man United to win it. They are more likely to blow the champions league money on crap and still better in their financial mess while getting into the champions league again for Spurs could transform them. They would use the money more wisely than United and he able to attract a higher calibre of manager.

I'm torn. I think United out of Europe, huge debts and finishing around 16th would be a major issue for them and hilarious.
Then Spurs get CL but also keep Angie, who doesn't look great tbh, and I don't feel like spending improves that. Plus they win a pot and can torment Arsenal fans for a bit as they finish 4th in a 2 horse race and go potless.

Ya it's a hard one. I just think United getting into Europe last few seasons hasn't helped them anyway and probably has lead them into spiralling more trying to add to their already bloated squad. Can't see it getting them out of trouble this time around either

Reading between the lines, in financial terms, it seems that United need the CL more.

Also, I want to see what the league do to Utd when they break PSR rules which would be increasingly likely. I mean they will do absolutely nothing about it.

Guardiola consistently adjusts his formation and tactics while keeping it within a general style, Ferguson did the same, Prime Mourinho did too. Ancelotti adapts to the players he has.

A manager who just plays the same tactics and formation every game despite being absolutely crap and not having the players to fit it is a bad manager. You can still have a system you prefer, but his record with that squad is pathetic.

Right now, with their PSR issues, I am not sure if they could afford Branthwaite and improve the rest of their squad. It will be City, and the RS are interested.

If we even consider it there had better be at least an 80% RS tax added on when they come asking.

Not for me, they have been after Branthwaite for over a year, Champions league might be the thing that persuades him to go there. Even if it only for the first round.
