So if we beat Southampton and don't fall completely apart against Newcastle, we're guarenteed to finish above the mancs and spurs. Not bad, considering how bad we've been. I can't remember the last time we finished above either one of them (probably when we finished 4th?).
If someone said at the start of the season that we would finish above those 2, we would have taken it..

The last ever Everton scorer at Goodison will either be Dwight McNeil (second goal against Ipswich - our last goal at Goodison), or, should there be goals against Southampton, the final scorer there. Be a laugh if it was Jack Harrison like.
It's nailed on to be big Mick Keane.

Score early and it will be a rout.

The emotion and atmosphere will be too much for Southampton.

I’m predicting a 4-0 victory.

Really looking forward to this and going to be wishing time away at work this week. All I've really had to look forward to football wise since about January.

Obviously means nothing to us compared to you lot but as I've said before Goodison is my favourite ground in the country and it'll be class to be part of it's final hurrah albeit sad to see it go.

As for the actual game then I think it depends almost entirely on the first 15 minutes or so. If you start well and get an early goal then we'll collapse and you'll ease to a 4/5 nil win. Whereas if it stays tight and 0-0 for a while I can see it becoming bit of a nothing game and your players will start having loads of shots from distance trying to get in the record books.

Would love for us to spoil your party with a shithouse 1-0 but have no expectations.

We won the last game at Maine Road and while they weren't the last games we were the last teams to win at Roker Park and WHL so it'd be nice to add another bit of history to that.

Is this the last game at Goodison or is there anything after this?
It’s supposed to be the Men’s last game, The Everton fan in me still expects us to mess something up with the stadium and end up here for at least another game.
The women may have a season here at the most, then it will be sold on or redeveloped into something else.

When the Gladwys street last stand before seating - it was hyped up & it was a very dull game with only one goal from Tony Cottee...

Plus is Paul Macartney turning up in a concert in the future as rumoured ?
