Hopefully Roberto will turn up - and tell Moyes how he can get near 72 points in a season.
I remember you calling Martinez the ‘Catalan clown’ and urging him to get out of the club

You defo don't remember that correctly mate. Dave has been vehemently pro Martinez every step of the way, even when the guy didn't deserve it! Dave and I butted head many a time back then!I remember you calling Martinez the ‘Catalan clown’ and urging him to get out of the club![]()

Martinez showed Moyes first time of asking how you get players to play football on the deck. He’ll have to wait for Moyes to put a squad together and leave for him to takeover and do it, again…![]()
He did indeed. However, I think most would agree that he got a very solid Moyes squad playing some great football but was completely incapable of maintaining their defensive responsibilities. Shame we couldn’t have had a hybrid mixture of both styles. Admittedly, will always have a soft spot for him.Martinez showed Moyes first time of asking how you get players to play football on the deck.
The idea defending corners isn't part of the game, in the English Premier League, turned me against him after defending him a lot. Such a shame, would've been great if there was even a slightly more pragmatic approachHe did indeed. His team - largely, but not completely, built by Moyes - played sensational attacking football for a season and then fell off a cliff. Moyes is a better manager because he is more pragmatic. But that one season was better than any Moyes's teams gave us in 11 years.
No, we conceded less goals (39) in RMs first season here than the previous 4 of Moyes' seasons. He also showed him that he didn't have a clue how to defend.
And what about the seasons after? No, we conceded less goals (39) in RMs first season here than the previous 4 of Moyes' seasons.

More likely turn up and thank Moyes for leaving him a team to compete, before Martinez got his own players and ruined it all.Hopefully Roberto will turn up - and tell Moyes how he can get near 72 points in a season.
