2024/25 David Moyes

hang on. We’ve been on the brink of relegation for years with a shocking team and people are complaining that Moyes isn’t going to win us a trophy. I remember very recently West Ham fans (after winning a trophy) wanting Moyes out because they wanted more progressive football. Look at them now. Football fans are probably the weirdest throughout all sports
They won the European equivalent to the Autoglass Trophy.

Dave. You may have failed to notice, but if you have a good team and are able to spend a few quid to make a very good team, trophies may arrive. Moyes had good teams in his last spell but no money when we could see he was nearly tbere.

He inherited the champions of England and one of the best teams in the world and took them to midtable.

The re-wrting of history around Moyes is off the charts.

I agree with Dave that Moyes hasnt achieved much here since he came back. I am not convinced he can get us any better than 10th next season either.

The game has moved on frankly and Moyes represents an earlier era. Give him next season and then get someone more progresive in.

Can someone please provide a way to look a the table since Moyes took over, I’m sure there is a Twitter post or something somewhere

He does have a bit of Dyche about him, but inheriting the same squad of players meant he was the right man for the job.
I'll properly judge him next season after he has influenced the players we bring in.

We've been atrocious for three years. I'd be pretty happy with 10th next season tbqh

You might be right in terms of your opinion on Moyes, I don't know, but I don't think he's a terrible choice for the next couple of years as we try to rebuild the club. At the end of his contract, we might be in a position where it's time for someone else to try to move us forward, but I guess we will see how it pans out.

If he finishes 10th in his first full season after many years of us almost getting relegated into non existence. That would be a very good achievement. Stop being impatient weirdos

He certainly polarises opinion does Davy.

It's beyond discussion that's he's done a good job since taking over from Dyche but I suspect that there is a ceiling to his level .

With judicious purchases I think he gets us back into the top 8.

Let's be frank it would take a massive overhaul and net spend to break into the top6 .

If we had that level of investment lined up I'm not sure that I'd want Moyes as manager.

So, depends on the boards level of investment and patience I think

Most I would expect would except 10th as a good start but would love a trophy or final to go with it as many have said we expect to beat the average teams but near the end we expect most times to lose at the business end.
