I don't see him as a 10, and would be more intrigued to see us go for more of a 433 with pair of 8s with Charly taking one of those positions. It would give more license for McNeil and Ndiaye to get in and around the box to support the centre forward.

He’s a 10 all day. Picking that ball up centrally and carrying it on the counter attack. That’s his game and he’s dangerous in that position.

The consensus is starts, and there aren’t enough left for us to trigger it, apparently.

But I heard someone say that only converts the obligation into an option, at the same price. So probably the best way to play it, on balance.

I agree. I’d really like to see us shift from 4-5-1 to 4-3-3. Alcaraz being one of the central 3
