2024/25 Tim Iroegbunam

Clubs make mistakes about young players all the time like EFC and Robinson for example. But they should be given a decent chance, so play Tim and Chermeti for the rest of the season and let's make a decision based on demonstrable facts.
We don't make the decision, the manager and coaches do. If they can't make a decision based on all the evidence and data they have available to them then they probably shouldn't be in the job. Football isn't a talent show, this idea that we should just let everyone on the books have a run of games to see whether the fans rate them or not is really quite mad.

You’re bizarre.
I mean I'm obviously not being entirely serious but the point still stands to be fair. I think it's probably worth pointing out I was hardly giving it the 'GIVE NURSES FOOTBALLERS WAGES' line, just pointing out that normal football fans passing comment on the performances of a footballer who cost and is paid a lot of money isn't really 'bizarre' to use the word of the moment. If he was an academy kid who we were throwing in because of an injury crisis it's a bit different, but I was just saying I don't really see why Iroegbunam's performances would be any less worthy of comment than anyone else's, seeing as he's a fully fledged member of the first team squad and has been around first team football for 3/4 years now.

Needs a loan learn positioning etc.

Concerned due to lack of backing etc be forced to ruin another young players career because of necessity (see Tom Davies).
