Why have the club gone back to talking with DCL?

That's the question we are all asking. Why are we trying to give any money to a striker with 17 goals in four seasons?

It’s not just come from the bobble, Paddy Boyland also spoke about, DCL doing an interview about how he feels about Everton and potentially staying and he’s gone back to his old agent. No manager is going to want DCL or Beto leading the line for a club that wants to move up the league, but when you can get money for one a a keep one for free, so to speak yes you have to give him wages, then you can see why the club will be looking to sell Beto

Both may end up going, who knows

It was widely reported Beto was almost sold in January. Only for the Dcl injury he would have been I'd imagine .
 


If Beto was on the bench, and we wanted to change the game and chase a goal… I would be pleased to see him getting warmed up.
I can honestly say for almost 5 years I have looked at the bench and thought there is nothing there to improve the shambles on the pitch.
I would prefer another striker to start but I would like to see Beto staying around.

I think it entirely depends on what type of striker we sign as first choice.

I’m happy with either him or DCL staying as second choice if what they offer is different to the strengths of the new 1st choice. I don’t see the point in having a striker with similar qualities because it means we can’t vary the play.
