Everton North end Liverpool South End

I think this is nonsense tbh

I’ve lived in both and still frequent both, never noticed it

Same here. No difference.

If season ticket ownership / waiting list is any guide I think it is based in reality.

The club / transport group did a heat map for the planning application...

A mate of mine has been involved in kids footy training for over 40yrs, and been a scout for various clubs. He used to say that judging by the kids turning up in their kits, in the 80s it was roughly even in the north end, but we were outnumbered at least 2 to 1 South end. He says it's only gotten worse in recent times. All my kids went to school in South Liverpool, all said they were amongst the only Evertonians in their classes. Similarly, if you ever go into town (or local) to watch us playing away on the TV in a pub and if LFC are playing at the same time, you will see that we are almost always well outnumbered. (Unless you're in a blue pub). That's what happens when you play second fiddle for all but 4 or 5yrs of the previous 50 seasons.
why are these scouse reds sitting in the pub and not at Anfield though?

Of course you have Blues South End, RS North End. When I went to away games on coach most lads were North Enders and from other anecdotal experiences over years I've found there to certainly be more Blues North End than South End. Maybe it's just historic that certain pubs in North End were Bluehouses and coaches went from them, which is why you bump into loads of Blues from Bootle, Fazakerley, Kirkby, Litherland and Netherton. For some reason Halewood seems to be infested with RS. I suppose it's just based on personal experience where and when you grew up.

Normally kids grow up supporting whoever their dad supports, so that`s the driving factor for me.

My mums family all grew up off Anfield Road and are reds, my dads family all grew up off Smithdown and are blues.

Me and my lads are blues.

Every single kid, bar one in every footy / rugby team my lad has played for, has supported the team their dad supports.

You move it out to places like Widnes and Runcorn and you get loads of Man Utd fans, as well as blues and reds.

I think physical proximity is a big driver in who you support as well as actual attending behind supporting your dads/mums team.
I also think the South End also has a had a bigger immigrant influx and they are more likely to gravitate towards whoever is successful faced with no connection to either.

When my daughter started getting into footy, brought her to Shamrock Rovers matches so that was an easy win. For Prem, she obviously knew I was Everton. The fact we were so bad I told her she didn’t have to follow Everton, but I’d be very very disappointed if she chose Liverpool.

She is a blue! Her face when she saw the G O O D I S O N P A R K on the roof of the Park End stand as our bus got close her firdt visit was priceless!
