Castore - get rid?

Adidas will be copy & paste design like other 60 teams around the world they have done for small clubs.
Aye. I long for the day when custom shirt designs are brought back. This was a thing of beauty. All you get now is an annual increase and declining quality of material and quality control, with a kit that looks like 100 other teams' kits around Europe. The way fans are taken advantage of is quite disgusting.

I also wouldn't mind Macron. The quality of their kits has come a long way in the last few years. And some of the nicest kits I own were made by the Japanese brand Mizuno. I mean just look at the stuff they made for an absolute nothing club like Augsburg:

I know it won't happen but imagine what they could do for us

They moved to Manchester because it has better access to young professionals there. I worked with a lad who went to school with the founders, he's a massive kopite and was in the castore box on Saturday

Evidence in this thread says those professionals are doing a shoite job.

In 2023, Leeds made the 16th highest profit in shirt sales in Europe which I don't really understand. Wonder if it's down to their fanbase being more interested in buying the shirt compared to others or if it's a Population size thing. But then you'd expect the likes of Villa and Newcastle to be on their level as the Geordies love wearing the shirt and are a one club City. Nowhere near the size of Leeds Population though, despite having a big surrounding area. But then Birmingham is huge and Villa comfortably the biggest club so would expect them to be ahead of Leeds.

The below list unsurprisingly suggests Adidas and Nike are the brands that make the most, but they are associated with some lesser clubs like Leeds and Eintracht Frankfurt.

1. Barcelona (Nike) – €179m
2. Real Madrid (Adidas) – €155m
3. Bayern Munich (Adidas) – €147m
4. Liverpool (Nike) – €132m
5. Manchester United (Adidas) – €130m
6. Paris Saint-Germain (Nike) – €97m
7. Arsenal (Adidas) – €89m
8. Chelsea (Nike) – €87m
9. Juventus (Adidas) – €74m
10. Tottenham (Nike) – €74m
11. Manchester City (Puma) – €73m
12. Borussia Dortmund (Puma) – €54m
13. AC Milan (Puma) – €47m
14. Ajax (Adidas) – €41m
15. Galatasaray (Nike) – €35m
16. Leeds United (Adidas) – €35m
17. Celtic (Adidas) – €34m
18. Fenerbahçe (Puma) – €31m
19. Eintracht Frankfurt (Nike) – €26m
20. Inter Milan (Nike) – €26m

Although there are specific touches to this kit for us, like the badge woven into the fabric and the tower in the collar, these were not unique kits. Check out the Man Utd and Chelsea kits from the same time, around 93-95 and you will see the same elements in their shirts

Mizuno have made some great kits for Lazio as well. As you say though pretty much zero chance of them paying us enough.

This does seem to be forgotten about quite often. For example here are Everton and Chelsea's kits from 91-93

The baby kits are pretty good tbf. Quality seems fine and they have a couple of little poppers on the neck but at the side which is good. Waited until they were hugely reduced though as full price was £45 😮

Wouldn’t buy an adult shirt for the reasons of: quality, cost, Stake.
