"Everton That" moments

This one shows how long and deep the curse is…“An abandonment in the 1904/05 season changed the outcome of the League championship. Everton's match at Woolwich Arsenal in November was abandoned after 76 minutes due to fog with the Merseysiders leading 3-1. When the match was eventually played again, just before the end of the season when they had to play 3 matches in 4 days, Everton lost 2-1. If the original match had been completed (and if the scoreline had remained the same), Everton would have pipped Newcastle to the League Championship by a point. Instead they finished second.”

That's absolutely scandalous 😆

Agreeing to sell Lineker for £2.8m to Barca around the time the '86 World Cup began and him going to go on to win the Golden Boot at the tournament yet still flogging him at the same price when he came home from it when we could've then charged way more.

Finishing 4th only for the RS to win the CL, and us getting knocked out by Villarreal .Couldn’t get more Everton that!

This.
We couldnt even enjoy qualifying for it for 5 minutes before they started crying their arses off about how they should be allowed back in even though there was no actual rule other than league qualification.
There was one way out for UEFA. Bung collina a sweetner to make sure Everton never made it 5 english clubs through to the groups. Who remembers the draw? There was one class side in that qualifiers. The previous seasons CL semi finalists. Hmmm i wonder who Everton were going to get lol. Rigged draw and then collina retired into the sunset with his "gift"
As Everton that as you can get.

Yes i remember that Terry Venables ,was one of the commentators he was also manager of Barcelona. And him and the other commentater ,always had a knowing smile all the way through the competition.

1974/75 season. Everton finished 4th with 50 points (2 points for a win). Derby won the League on 53. Just 4 points off being Champions but we were beaten home and away by the club who finished rock bottom, Carlisle United.
Also lost to Luton in the last weeks of season and gave away a 2 goal lead in the defeat by Sheffield United.
