New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Are they hinting at anything by saying this? Maybe the purchase of the nelson dock and other land to impact the future scheme?

Heard from a spark working on it they fitted out the boxes few months ago and theyve been called back last few weeks as club decided to basically scrap it and start again

Whether there’s a delay or not the club will have to say something pretty sharpish. The suggestion that the third test event will be a pre season friendly against Roma seems ludicrous to me. Surely that’s way too close to the season starting for all the relevant licences etc. to be given.

Depends how confident they are really. The test events should really just be a box ticking exercise, the idea is that you know full well everything is fine and you just need the relevant authorities to agree in order to get your sign off. If that’s the case a friendly would be fine.

Was just relaying what they said tbh, both (at different levels within 'workforce' ) were saying the same thing regarding stadium completion.

I get the sceptical tone of your post and nobody wants talk of issues to be true but it is seemingly a distinct possibility.
So it’s not ā€˜happening’ anymore? Glad we cleared that up at least.

I just don’t get how a football club the size of us receives a football stadium to an agreed spec with only internal fit out in essence to so and it’s going to take 9 months?

No chance.
