You can't seriously think the old Celtic board regularly raided the biscuit tin to sign all the top players in Scotland? Every pound Celtic spent was a pound less going into their pockets.

Yes it is, but there are levels and very few leagues have 2 clubs as dominant as Scotland does.
Yes, for a while Celtic didn't spend much, but that just led to Rangers winning 9 in a row as they were buying all the other teams best players just to stop them playing against them. (John Brown and Duncan Ferguson as two examples that spring to mind)

But as long as you get supporters buses going from Aberdeen and Dundee to Ibrox and Parkhead, it will never change and Scottish football will continue to be the poorer for it.

I had heard from a few celtic pals that they were planning to do it(suppose it was a bit of an obvious one for them)
But I wasn't there and didn't see it or hear it so it didn't happen in my head!!
They'll never top us doing the huddle on the parkhead pitch after winning the title there though!!
