2024/25 David Moyes

Dont be surprised if TFG make a change of manager in the summer!

We shouldnt but as each week goes by im expecting it.

We created tons of chances and should have put the game away. Their man scored from halfway to midfield and a looper in the box fell directly to their player. Honestly I am not that bothered. What bothered me is our fresh legs could not see the game out. Once Beto, Dwight and Charly tired we lost a bit of control then Natty Ice threw the game away with his theatrics. Moyes needs to get better performances from his subs.

Or perhaps we wouldn’t have hired half the crap managers we have?
If you go through managers like we have since his first tenure you’re gonna end up with dross and we did.

This squad needs stability, rebuilding, quality additions, and then handing over to the next manager in better shape than this.

Moyes is ideal for that at this very moment.

It was the team fans have been calling for. McNeil, Ndiaye, Alcaraz all on the pitch. Hopefully the penny will drop that most of the team isn't up to par. We can't keep chopping and changing without addressing the average playing squad.

Results are his responsibility. Very clearly the squad is of largely mediocre quality but we shouldn't be dropping a two-goal lead to Ipswich, at home.

All of them, him and the players, have to put their hands up for that. We shouldn't be that bad, that fragile, and that meek.

We will have to see what the summer brings. There is so much work to be done, and no room for error.

He’s going to come under pressure very quickly next season if there’s a few results like this. Expectations will be much higher next season.
His comments yesterday were frustrating, referring to ‘bigger clubs’ being interested in Delap. He needs to be talking about the ambitions we have and wanting to bring in high quality players. Can’t imagine the pressure where were too impressed with that.

De Rossi got sacked for 3 draws and a defeat at the start of the season for Roma.

Moyes last 7 games at Goodison is 5 draws and 2 defeats.

That TFG finger will be on the trigger at the last game of the season.
If they do i would love to know who they have in mind?

It’s mentality with this lot. The players are still petrified of every opponent they meet. They feel inferior to every opponent no matter where they are in the table. I would’ve expected Moyes to have had enough time to drill/coach that out of them by now to be honest. It’s disappointing and worrying that they’re still so mentally fragile. That’s the fourth time this season they’ve thrown away a 2-0 lead, that simply has to be a record.

He’s done very little since he joined EXCEPT talked about the ambitions he has for the club, and wanting to bring in better players.

If talking about “bigger” clubs wanting Delap honestly hurts your ego that much, you need to look into your own fragility.

Utd and Chelsea are both linked with Delap. By every single measurable metric(as pertains to attracting players), they are bigger than us at the moment.

Jep, he's done a good enough job for me to stay over the season, but he won't last with an average over the last 10 games with 9 points with DFG.

On the other hand, they willingly decided for Moyes, and you know what you will get with him, gave him 2,5 years contract and picked him for their manager to rebuild. Would probably cost another 8-10m to sack him.
