This cannot be highlighted enough. The NHS is propped up by immigrants. Without them it wouldn't exist.
All the Reform voters whinging about GP appointments yet they fail to appreciate that 40% of them are non-uk born. Imagine how hard they would find getting an appointment if we sent them all packingThis cannot be highlighted enough.
Really don't underestimate the role of social media here. Seen many many video clips being shared featuring stern looking blokes, men who look like the average joe, laying down the law and purporting that Labour and Starmer "hate us".
Brexit exposed a nerve. Reform are prodding it. Hard.
You think only poor people voted reform? It's an immensely poor town and it doesn't surprise me one bit that some of the population have been hoodwinked by a billionaire snake oil salesman. Tbf, the US has done exactly the same just on a much larger scale.
I'd like to think that the general UK population won't follow suit in the next election but I'm not overly confident
You sure it's that dynamic? You think only poor people voted reform?
A lot of people no matter what wealth they have just want rid of Starmer, Rayner, Reeves and the rest of them.![]()
If he keeps Obrien as CB tomorrow mate i'm not really arsed. Just joining in the bunfightYou sure it's that dynamic?
It's Gen X and Gen Z, too. And it's Tiktok as much as it is Facebook. The Boomers are being radicalised on Facebook of all places.
The males of those generations, generally speakingIt's Gen X and Gen Z, too. And it's Tiktok as much as it is Facebook.
Millennials seem to be the only ones not being suckered.
I'm from Boston originally. Got a mate who still lives there and married to a lovely Latvian lass with a babber on the way. Asked him how it feels to have a Reform MP and a Reform mayor. His sarcastic response: "like I've taken back so much control."View attachment 306387
How I would describe the Lincolnshire demographic (I live in the pink..... lol)

The NHS in general has gone on a huge recruitment drive after staff left in their droves following Brexit with loads of the EU born staff returning home. That has been supplemented by workers from outside the EU coming here to work which is a significant portion of the recent spike in immigration. Yet people see these NET Migration figures and immediately think it's an invasion of rapists, thieves and murderers arriving on small boats. 95% of immigrants come here with Government approval and the overwhelming majority are either here to work or they are students. Universities in particular love foreign students because they pay full tuition fees and tend to stay in the most expensive accommodation, a lot of them would collapse without their money.

If anything we need more immigration not less. All these pensioners complaining about immigrants are the ultimately the ones that rely on them the most! They are the staff that they see when they need medical treatment, they're the ones wiping their backsides in care homes and they're a significant part of the (dwindling) workforce that pays for their triple lock state pension.
The average immigrant contributes more in taxes to the economy than the average British born person. Over 90% of those admitted on work visas are economically active taxpayers, compared to 62% of the native population.
There's no u or ent in that first word if you want a positive answer.Students in Runcorn?
